Of all the places you could be right now, I’m really glad you’re here.

My portfolio reflects the passions and projects I’ve dedicated myself to. In May 2023 I earned my bachelor’s degree in Sociology and Spanish Studies from American University. The following year, I completed my master’s in Sociology Research & Practice at AU, where I focused on sexual and reproductive health, Black maternal health and wellness, HIV/AIDS, sexual health disparities, and broadly, reproductive justice. As a doctoral student at Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, I examine Black American women’s susceptibility to sexually transmitted infections (STIs), exploring the sociocultural factors that contribute to this risk.

My work largely centers on wellness and care for Black women, as I firmly believe that this population is overdue for complete bodily autonomy and sexual agency. You can read several of my passion pieces here.
